Cost Planning & Procurement
Preparation of cost estimates using design information and benchmarked against internal project cost data and industry-standard pricing.
​Procurement method advice aligned with Client priorities, build complexity, and project concept.
Tender Documentation
Production of Bill of Quantities or detailed Schedule of Works. Preparation of project specific Contract Conditions and Preliminaries.
Issue of tender documentation to selected contractors, including the Architect’s and Engineer’s drawings and specifications for pricing.
Tender Evaluation & Reporting
Detailed evaluation of contractors’ tenders to determine the most economically advantageous tender.
Preparation and issue of a formal Tender Report setting out our recommendation to the Client.
Organisation and participation in Value Engineering meetings as necessary.
Contract
Documentation
Advice on appropriate Form of Contract and preparation of the Contract Documents for the project. Coordination to ensure the Contract Documents are correctly executed by all parties.
Preparation and issue of ancillary legal documents, including Letters of Intent and warranties, as required.
Valuations & Final Account
Undertake valuation of the works at regular intervals during construction.
Negotiate and agree the Final Account with the Contractor, including agreement of all Architect-issued variations, remeasured work, and claims for prolongation and loss and expense.
Active Cost
Management
Throughout construction remeasure changes and value variations. Provide ongoing cost control through the preparation of financial statements forecasting the anticipated final account, taking account of variations to date, expenditure of provisional sums, and remeasurement of provisional items.
